Expert's Point of View
Root cause of the accident:
1) Temporary distracted by the sun and did not concentrate on jogging
2) Maybe dreaming of some wonderful happenings
3) Complacency and take for granted that the route is very safe and flat
4) Front runner did not give warning - ha ha (not my fault)
5) Back runner was too far behind to prevent the fall
6) Wear inappropriate PPE that did not provide protection from knock and only provide facial protection from sun
7) Lack of training on how to fall properly
8) Did not wear pillow at the buttock to absorb the impact of the fall
9) Failure to identify the risk of low branch even though it was painted white and with warning remarks on the boardwalk
Lesson learnt - don't wear sunshade to run at MR
